The Doctor is in!
Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of medicine. In
the National Honors Convocation on Medicine, you will learn
about this ever-changing discipline from med students, practicing
physicians, and researchers.

Learn to perform a patient diagnosis in a complicated medical case and present the diagnosis to a medical board

Participate in each phase of the patient process, from interviewing to preliminary assessment to
differential diagnosis, and ultimately, treatment.

Research current trends in medicine utilizing the same methodology as first-year
medical school students.
- Explore and debate the ethical issues facing modern doctors.
- Complete two dissections
Focused Field Trips
Visits to hospitals, medical schools, and medical research
facilities.
Industry Panels
You will hear from leading medical professionals in a variety
of practices. Industry panels may include such topics as:
“The Law of Medicine,” “The Ethics of Research
— Stem Cells,” and “Socialized Medicine
— Will it Work?”
